Brian Casey

Brian Casey has twenty-five years of banking and investment banking experience with a concentration in real estate finance. Working in the investment banking divisions of Chemical Bank and then Citibank, Mr. Casey has experience in all aspects of real estate finance and mortgage banking. Mr. Casey also gained extensive experience in acquisition analysis and due diligence and acted as a consultant for CS/First Boston, Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs in their purchase of banks and bank portfolios. In 1988, Mr. Casey became the Managing Director of Real Estate Investment Banking at Equitable Bank, where he was responsible for advising bank clients on various real estate transactions. Following the merger of Equitable Bank and Maryland National Bank in 1991, Mr. Casey formed The Casey Group and has advised numerous regional clients on their strategic business issues. Notable engagements include advising the Bank of Baltimore on workouts and troubled loan sales, advising Ferris Baker Watts on numerous bank IPO's, and providing litigation support to leading law firms in the Baltimore-Washington market.
